Bovec area is situated in the heart of Triglav national park. Famous emerald Soča river and its valley, which is dominated by Alpine peaks, are a great place for active holidays: hiking, cycling, kayaking, rafting, canyoning, fly-fishing, climbing, skiing and more. The land, where the parts of Disney's movie The Chronicles of Narnia were filmed, is a European Destination of Excellence, where everybody can experience a pristine, wild nature and a spirit of distinctive cultural heritage marked by the World War I. This can be seen at the numerous trenches, fortresses and cemeteries – remains of the front line, which took place over Bovec valley.
