Tacen hosted 2011 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup Race from June 24th to 26th.

Benjamin Savšek won in the final of last selection race and ensured himself a spot at Olympic Games in London. Things are still open in K1w and C2 where result at EC in Germany will count.
Dejan Kralj - Simon Hočevar, Peter Kauzer, Urša Kragelj and Benjamin Savšek were the best at third selection race.
Blaž Cof (C1m), Tim Kolar (K1m), Ajda Novak (K1w), Beti Medved (C1w) and Žnidaršič-Žgajnar (C2) were the best at sprint race in Solkan.

Peter Kauzer, Urša Kragelj and Luka Božič - Sašo Taljat won at ICF Ranking race in Solkan. Eva Terčelj was 2nd and Luka Slapšak - Urban Jarc 3rd.
Nina Mozetič, Benjamin Savšek and Luka Božič - Sašo Taljat have the best starting point after the first selection race. Blaž Cof (C1m), Tim Kolar (K1m), Ajda Novak (K1w), Beti Medved (C1w) and Žnidaršič-Žgajnar (C2) were the best at sprint race in Solkan. The whitewater canoeing season 2012 started in Tacen with a traditional race from Medvode to Tacen.
